Guarding security specialist
Deployment regions
Greater Zurich area/Greater Bern area
Requirements
Completed basic vocational training an advantage. Swiss citizen or settled/resident foreign national (C/B permit). Minimum age 20 years, with clean background (no criminal record or entries on the debt register). Successfully completed basic in-house training at DELTAgroup.
Training duration
The paid basic training lasts two days and can be partly completed online. The basics include practical skills such as fire safety, first aid, radio operation, and security screening of people and their belongings, completed by theoretical content such as law and psychology. The basic training is supplemented by modules of between one and six days in the areas of unarmed self-defence, multipurpose baton use, and crowd and riot control – depending on which personnel division the employee belongs to.
Typical working day
Guarding security specialists work for our clients around the clock. Part-time positions working on specific days are also possible, of course. Shifts last between 6 and 12 hours. A typical working day includes guarding and surveillance of construction sites, reception desk duties, property protection, access control, and patrols at events. An appropriate uniform is provided by the employer for these assignments.
Upsides
Our guarding security specialists work at many different times and places, giving them maximum flexibility and variety. Given the wide range of activities, there is also plenty of work available for these employees. It goes without saying that these assignments involve working in a team.
Downsides
Our variable working hours can make planning activities outside work difficult; however, this can be alleviated by clarifying everything with our job management team beforehand. Some of the work may be outdoors, meaning that our staff are exposed to all kinds of weather.
